The Lakeside management team is comprised of senior managers from former ASCP portfolio company Primary Energy Ventures LLC, which worked with ASCP to acquire a portfolio of 14 generation and energy assets, growing a start-up company into an operating energy business with an enterprise value of $900 million.

Fuels utilized in these facilities included coal, natural gas, waste heat, various waste gases, tire derived fuel and biomass. Provided below is a description of the assembled energy asset portfolio:

California

     Gas-fired facility: 49 MW and 120 Mlb Steam
     Gas-fired facility: 47 MW and 479 Mlb Steam

     Waste fuels facility: 161 MW
     Waste heat recovery facility: 95 MW and 896 Mlb Steam
     Waste fuels facility: 75 MW
     Gas-fired facility: 64 MW and 495 Mlb Steam
     Waste fuels facility: 50 MW and 460 Mlb Steam
     Pulverized coal processing and injection facility supporting iron production: 110 tons/hour
 

North Carolina

     Solid-fuel fired facility utilizing coal, tire-derived fuel, wood/biomass waste: 120 MW and 1,080 Mlb
     Solid-fuel fired facility utilizing coal, tire-derived fuel, wood/biomass waste: 60 MW and 540 Mlb
 

New Jersey

     Gas-fired facility: 30 MW and 78 Mlb Steam
 

Colorado

     Gas-fired facility: 82 MW and 170 Mlb Steam

In support of these acquisitions and restructurings, the Lakeside management team raised over $850 million in capital. This capital was raised in several markets including private equity, public equity in Canada, the term loan market, project finance, high yield, syndicated bank loans, and bank debt. This capital was used to restructure or replace existing financing.
